Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program - Faculty

CMHC Faculty Member

D’Youville University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program is actively seeking a full time 12 -month clinical or tenure track faculty member to join its team. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching 24 credit hours per academic year across the CMHC curriculum, advising students, serving the CMHC program, serving the university and its community, and engaging in professional development and scholarship. The two-year graduate program emphasizes integrative healthcare approach and prepares students for licensure as mental health counselors in New York State.

Qualified Candidates must demonstrate:

  1. An earned doctoral degree in counselor education, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program or have a related doctoral degree and have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013
  2. Are licensed as an LMHC in New York State or able to transfer an existing license from other another state
  3. Have sustained memberships in professional counseling organizations
  4. Have at least three years of clinical and/or teaching experience at the graduate level in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with preferrable experience with CACREP
  5. Are able to show evidence of good moral character, strong work ethic, flexibility, ability to collaborate with inter-professional team members, and an interest in working with high-achieving ethnically diverse students
  6. Are able to teach in both the hybrid (in-person monthly weekends) and online delivery formats

Pay: $56,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
